Celebrate the new year near Santa Clara homes at the library. The library is the place to be for families from Santa Clara homes to celebrate the new year. The fourth annual Noon Year’s Eve will take place on December 30th at the Northside Branch from 11 a.m. to noon. Get dressed up (no jeans please!) and come ready for fun. It’s not quite the same as ringing in the New Year at midnight, but it allows kids and parents to get a good night’s sleep! Enjoy live music and dancing with DJ Lorena. Countdown to noon with MC Cheryl. Learn more about Noon Year’s Eve and be sure to register for this annual good time for all ages.

Santa Clara Real Estate Owners Learn to Code for Free at Northside Branch Library

Noon Year’s Eve isn’t the only event at Northside on December 30th. There’s also a Free Code Camp event from 2 to 4 p.m. The event is open to anyone living on Santa Clara real estate, from beginners to those with more experience. Maybe you’ve made a new year’s resolution to learn more about coding and software engineering. This is a perfect opportunity, and it’s completely free. The programming languages involved are JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. If you plan to attend, be sure to sign up for a free account at FreeCodeCamp.com. You’ll also need to bring your own laptop along to the meetup.

Please note that this is only a study group, not a training or class. However, it will give you confidence to keep going with Free Code Camp, as well as giving you an opportunity to make friends. Participants can continue their studies in Santa Clara homes. Free Code Camp offers four certifications for coding and is frequently used in coding bootcamps. The program takes around a year to complete, going full time, though it is a self-paced program. There’s no need to register, but you can learn more about the Free Code Camp event at the Northside Library website.
