There are so many great holiday events around Silicon Valley homes. We’ve rounded up several of our favorites.
Scheduled for Thanksgiving morning, November 23rd, the annual Silicon Valley Turkey Trot raises money to help local charities, including vision screenings and glasses for kids, free food to families in need, and affordable housing placements. Sign up for the 5K or 10K. Kids can participate in their own fun run. Be sure to stick around for the race day festival once you’ve run your race!
Get the holidays off to a great start at the Saratoga Tree Lighting and Wine Stroll on Friday, November 24th. Everyone living in Silicon Valley looks forward to this each year. The Tree Lighting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in Blaney Plaza, in downtown Saratoga. Students from Marshall Lane Elementary School will open the ceremony with holiday songs. The annual Holiday Wine Stroll will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Enjoy amazing local wine, shop in the fun downtown stores, and let the kids burn off their holiday energy in the kids zone. Visit the Saratoga Chamber of Commerce to purchase tickets to the wine stroll.
Kids Living in Silicon Valley Meet Santa for Breakfast in Cupertino
Finally, be sure that your kids get to tell Santa their wishes for the season. Bring them to Breakfast with Santa at the Quinlan Community Center in Cupertino. Families can bring photos of their little ones with Santa back to their Silicon Valley homes. After pictures are done, and kids have revealed what they hope for under the tree, it will be time for pancakes. Then everyone will follow the elves to create crafts and write letters to Santa. There will be four seatings at the event, at 8:30, 9, 9:30, and 10 a.m. The cost to attend is $12 for residents and $15 for non-residents. Kids must be accompanied by a paying adult. Sign up soon for Breakfast with Santa. The event sold out last year!
