This holiday season, the San Jose Downtown Association is once again providing the Downtown Ice event at its festive circle of San Jose real estate for guests of all ages to enjoy. Whether visitors are experienced ice skaters or just beginners, everyone who calls San Jose home is invited to come and participate in the wintry fun. The holidays and ice skating go hand in hand, and residents from all over the area come to take advantage of this beautiful downtown rink. Admission is only $15 for seniors, the military, and children 10 years old and younger, while those who are 11 and older pay $17. However, everyone who brings their own skates only needs to pay $10. For those who are looking forward to skating throughout the time that Downtown Ice will be open, there are even full season pass tickets available as part of a seasonal special. If you don’t have your own skates, the full price admission includes skates. There is no time limit once visitors are on the ice, and there is plenty of room for everyone under the holiday lights!
San Jose Home Owners Head to the Rink for Holiday Fun and Exercise
The ice rink will be open for visitors through the 15th of January, with a slightly different schedule as the weeks progress. Things begin to heat up at Downtown Ice from December 18th through January 6th as the rink goes into its special holiday hours for Winter Break. Every day the rink will open at 11 a.m. and stay open until midnight. However, on Christmas Day the rink won’t open until 2 p.m. so that families can enjoy their Christmas morning traditions before they come down to the festively decorated rink to continue their holiday celebration together on the ice. New Year’s Eve guests will be able to begin skating at 11 a.m. and then the rink will close at 10:30 p.m. to allow the skaters to get to their New Year’s Eve parties on time. On New Year’s Day, families and friends are encouraged to begin the year gliding across the ice since the rink will be open from noon until midnight, as they enjoy the unique experience of skating under the Circle of the Palms and the beautifully lit palm trees on downtown San Jose real estate. After the New Year, the hourly schedule will shift again. Visit Downtown Ice for the most up-to-date information.
This unique ice rink under the palm trees is actually bigger than the one in New York City at the Rockefeller Center, and skaters from all over the area love to come and enjoy this special holiday experience with their friends and family! Everyone can learn more about the rules of the rink as well as how to participate, or even book a private event at their website, or by calling the rink itself at (408) 610-4055.
