Patriotic colors of red, white and blue will surround downtown San Jose real estate as residents of Santa Clara County homes line the streets waving flags and honoring members of the United States Armed Forces at the 2015 Veteran’s Celebration and Parade. This year’s Grand Marshal is the esteemed Rear Admiral Ron J. MacLaren, USN, Director of the Defense Logistics Agency Joint Reserve Force. The annual Veterans Day celebration will follow tradition and begin on Wednesday, November 11 at 11 a.m. at Plaza de Cesar Chavez with a memorial service preceding the parade, allowing those living in Santa Clara County homes to come out and show their support for past and present United States veterans.
The parade route starts off at Delmas through to Santa Clara Street then to Market Street, and concludes at San Carlos Street. The parade is scheduled to begin at 12 noon. This patriotic parade will feature colorful marching bands as well as fun loving equestrian groups and more. Veteran’s day historically originated as Armistice Day, the official ending of World War 1 and then transformed into a celebration and recognition of our troops. Come share your support of America’s heroes, both past and present, and honor those who bravely and faithfully serve our country.
