Celebrate trees on Saratoga property.Celebrate Arbor Day on Saratoga property on the afternoon of Friday, April 29th. Come to West Valley College, which is located at 14000 Fruitvale Avenue, for the festivities from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. The event will be held in the shade at Vasona Creek, just behind the Student Center. Head to Lot 5 for free parking. Winners of the America in Bloom city-wide geranium contest will be announced. A black oak will be planted, and attendees are invited to participate.

Gardeners Who Live in Saratoga Will Meet the City Arborist

This is a great event for gardeners who live in Saratoga. Make friends with other plant enthusiasts at the event. Free compost will be available in the parking lot to use to fertilize home gardens on Saratoga property. Experts in gardening and conservation will also be in attendance. Find out about water conservation from the Santa Clara Valley Water District. West Valley Collection and Recycling can discuss measures to take to reduce waste creation in your home. Learn about the best trees to plant at your house from the Saratoga arborist. Come out for a celebration of trees and all things garden.
